Meat and dairy products, vegetables, rapeseed oil and other items are exported from Belarus to Russia. Trade is developing not only in traditional goods, but also in high-tech products: seeds and planting materials, breeding stock, plant protection products, veterinary drugs, and feed additives.
This year, Belarusian agricultural products are supplied to 75 Russian regions. Trade is carried out not only with the Central and Northwestern federal districts: the volume of mutual trade with the Volga, Southern, Ural, Far Eastern, Siberian and North Caucasian districts is increasing.
This year, the supplies of Belarusian products have increased to such remote Russian regions as the Amur, Sakhalin, Magadan, Kemerovo, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Irkutsk regions, the Zabaykalsky Krai, the Stavropol Krai, the Primorsky Krai, the Republic of Buryatia, the Republic of Khakassia, the Republic of Dagestan and a number of other regions.
Co-operation in the field of agricultural education is also actively developing. There are joint events for teachers, postgraduates and staff of partner universities. Professional development, internships and retraining programmes are being implemented for managers, specialists and professional staff involved in crop production, livestock breeding, fish farming, land reclamation, veterinary medicine and other areas.
