30+ investment projects planned for Belarus’ pharmaceutical industry by 2030
The General Director of the Management Company of Belpharmprom Pharmaceutical Holding, Oleg Sakhno, shared the details during the recent 1st Belarusian-Uzbek Women's Business Forum
“In order to expand the range of drugs in demand by the healthcare system, the issue of technology transfer and their production jointly with global pharmaceutical manufacturers is being worked out. By 2030, it is planned to implement 23 investment projects aimed at modernising the existing and creating new modern production facilities for import-substituting medicines with total investments of about Br900m,” Mr. Sakhno said.
The export strategy envisages an increase in the share in the total volume of sales to non-CIS countries, while maintaining the volume and growth rates of supplies to the EAEU and CIS. Mr. Sakhno added, “In the long term, the expansion of export co-operation with our partners will contribute to expanding access to the markets of the countries of the far arc, with which a preferential trade agreement has been signed. Among these states are Iran, Vietnam, Singapore and others, including Egypt, Israel and Indonesia, with which negotiations are underway on these issues.”
