The 2nd International Anti-Fascist Congress will be held in Minsk from August 17th to 19th, Belarus’ Defence Ministry reports

The event – convened at the Defence Ministry’ initiative to warn the world about the real threat of neo-fascism – is supposed to welcome representatives of more than 30 countries. It is intended to consolidate healthy international forces to counter the spread of fascism and Nazism in the world. The preservation of the historical truth about WWII and the Great Patriotic War is an important task as well.

The congress will be attended by representatives of military delegations, the diplomatic corps, foreign scientific and expert community. In addition, representatives of state bodies of Belarus, heads of the leading media, major religious denominations, as well as veterans of the Great Patriotic War will participate.

The plenary and sectional sessions of the congress will be held in the Central House of Officers in Minsk. Thematic exhibitions organised by the defence ministries of Belarus and Russia, the Prosecutor General's Office of Belarus and the National Archive will be organised.

As noted by the Defence Ministry, the 1st International Anti-Fascist Congress was held last year in Moscow.
