Lukashenko: US wants to weaken both Russia and Europe

Washington is steadily pushing through aggressive narratives against Belarus and Russia – as stated by Aleksandr Lukashenko, the President of Belarus, on the second day of the 7th Belarusian People’s Congress

“Americans have succeeded in their attempts to present Moscow and Minsk as enemies. Washington is steadily pushing aggressive narratives against Belarus and Russia, increasing the degree of NATO hostility in our direction,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stated.

The Belarusian leader underlined that by expanding NATO – joined recently by Finland and Sweden – Washington and Brussels continue to form a belt of unfriendly states around Russia.

“Other European countries are next in line to join the alliance. The goal is known: everything on this line should be on fire. Once again I ask you to pay attention to my yesterday’s thesis. People always ask what all these ‘Westerners’ and Americans want. I repeat once again: they simply want to drown Russia in war and tear it away from the emerging alliance with China. This union does not exist, but it is emerging. Circumstances have developed in such a way that both Russia and China need to be together. Americans have realised this and they need to drive a wedge. So, $60bn is not money for them when they want everyone to fight and kill each other,” the President explained.

“I want you to keep one more aspect in mind. China and Russia are not the only enemies for Americans. The European Union itself is a very serious rival for the US, and this was felt during Trump’s presidency, especially since Europe dared to introduce the Euro as an alternative to the US Dollar. This is a strong currency! Americans do not need any opponents or competitors, that’s why they are trying to drown Russia in the war in Ukraine and burden the European Union with this war (encouraging European countries to earmark 2-3 percent of GDP, produce more weapons and ammunition, and even send their people to the front against Russia),” Aleksandr Lukashenko added.

The Head of State especially focused the attention of the Belarusian People’s Congress delegates on the last aspect, “I want you to understand that NATO mercenaries have been fighting there for a long time. A month ago, Russians launched deadly strikes on militant positions on Ukrainian territory. Dozens of Poles died. Have you heard anything about this? Not one or two Poles; coffins and corpses were brought to Poland. Why didn’t the Polish government inform its population?”

“Americans want to kill several birds with one stone: to weaken Russia and overload Europe, weakening it as well. Afterwards, as I said, they will have to deal one-on-one with China in the Pacific Ocean, involving primarily India, Australia, Ukraine and South Korea in this fight. We need to understand that the situation requires the strictest control across all spheres, from information to military. Any careless word or movement can lead to open armed confrontation, up to the use of nuclear weapons. I’m also referring to the supply of long-range missiles without any conditions. Previously, they supplied but at least publicly stated that they prohibited Ukrainians from striking the territory of Russia, and partly Belarus. Now they no longer set down any conditions for the supply of long-range ammunition. If the situation becomes threatening (which is primarily what they want for the internal situation in Russia), Russia will use the entire arsenal it has. It will be an apocalypse,” Aleksandr Lukashenko summed up.

According to the President, everything is ready for this, and ‘at the instigation of the US, NATO persistently declares the need for intensive militarisation of Europe, and this is not about protection or about repelling some kind of aggression’.
