Lukashenko: peacekeeping mission of international structures being lost

Security threats are expanding almost every day, while the peacekeeping mission of international structures is being lost – as stated today by President Aleksandr Lukashenko at the 7th Belarusian People’s Congress

The Head of State reminded the delegates of the Belarusian People’s Congress that the new National Security Concept and Military Doctrine will be discussed at tomorrow’s meeting.

“Against the background of the military spectacle on Belarus’ border (I will also tell you more tomorrow), let’s honestly answer: is there any real benefit today from the supranational structures controlled by the West, which have mushroomed all over the world? International law, the OSCE, the United Nations, the World Health Organisation and others have not been able to prevent a single bloody conflict though that’s their main task! The European Peace Facility allocates funds for the war in Ukraine. Just think: there is not enough money, and the peace foundation sponsors the murder of people! And as soon as the leadership of our peace foundation went to Ukraine to help children, they immediately threw us out of their group. Well, we’ll get over it,” Aleksandr Lukashenko underlined.

“What real results have been achieved during major international forums: the Munich Security Conference, the G20 summit, the World Economic Forum in Davos, the UN Climate Change Conference? It would seem interesting to invite and listen to different points of view, as they boasted at the event in Munich. Invite Russians, Belarusians, Putin and I will come and say what we want and how we ‘want to fight’ against Europe. No, they don’t need this opinion. All experts talk about the bias of these structures by the West while less radical specialists call them hostages of geopolitical confrontation. Actually what is the difference: whether they are ideological globalists or ‘hostages’?” the Belarusian leader noted rhetorically.

According to the President of Belarus, the situation is absurd: ‘security threats are expanding almost every day, while the peacekeeping mission of international structures is being lost’.

“This is normal for those who will do anything to prevent Eurasian civilisational development. All this is hidden behind a screen of chatter. A recent climate was widely covered in the media, and I also took part in it. It jarred and infuriated me that the Americans and the British took turns coming to the rostrum (even the king had arrived) and taught us how to live and how to protect the sun! It’s easy to do this! When I spoke, I told them that everything can be protected in a simple way: stop fighting and emissions will decrease significantly, and send the money to those who are poor and are suffering today! Meanwhile, they expect that we will not see the essence behind this chatter. Can you imagine what will happen to Anglo-Saxon hegemony if this entire huge space from Lisbon to Beijing is connected by the new Silk Road?” Aleksandr Lukashenko noted.
