Lukashenko: Belarus able to significantly increase trade with Magadan Region

During his today’s meeting with the Russia region’s Governor, Sergei Nosov, President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has expressed confidence that Belarus and the Magadan Region will be able to significantly increase trade and economic co-operation

The President welcomed the delegation and noted, “This is your first visit to Belarus, and I want to assure you at the beginning of our meeting that you will not regret that you have covered eleven thousand kilometres.”

According to Aleksandr Lukashenko, Belarus does not divide Russian regions into remote and not distant ones. “We work with everyone and find common ground. I am sure that we will be able to significantly increase trade with the Magadan Region. I am convinced that you will find here what you need – including industrial products, food, medicines, and cosmetics,” he said.

The Head of State drew attention to the fact that the indicators of mutual trade do not reflect the actual capabilities of both parties in any way. “We should decide today how we will work to seriously enhance the pace of mutually beneficial trade and economic relations,” he said.
