Lukashenko announced main mission of Belarusian People’s Congress delegates

The delegates of the Belarusian People’s Congress represent the voice of the people, the collective mind of our nation – as stated today by President Aleksandr Lukashenko at the 7th Belarusian People’s Congress

"You are not just a general assembly,” the Belarusian leader underlined. “You are the national conscience; you are the voice of the people. You have no right to make a mistake. But you have right to loyalty and devotion to your country and our people. Your mission is to serve for the future of Belarus.”

The President added that it’s very symbolic that the Belarusian People’s Congress begins its work with the discussion and adoption of the most important documents ensuring national security.

“Belarus is a compact country, and Belarusians are a very peace-loving nation by nature, boasting a reserve of powerful vital energy. This is a unique resource that has helped the Belarusian people survive at different periods of our history. At the same time, the manic desire to be strong in this world is absolutely alien to us. However, we know what it means to be strong for peace,” the Head of State accentuated.
