BNTU, Malek Ashtar University of Technology discussed co-operation in laser technologies and 3D printing

Negotiations on expanding co-operation between the Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU) and the Malek Ashtar University of Technology (Iran) were held in Minsk on April 24th, the BNTU media centre reported

“Representatives of the Malek Ashtar University of Technology visited the BNTU Polytechnic Science and Technology Park. The delegation was headed by the Rector of the Iranian University, the Deputy Minister of Defence and Armed Forces Logistics of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Mehdi Jafari,” the media centre informed.

During the visit, the delegation representatives visited the park’s exhibition hall. The Director General of the BNTU Polytechnic Science and Technology Park, Georgy Vershina, told the members of the delegation about the achievements and innovative developments of the park. The programme of the visit also included negotiations between the Belarusian and Iranian sides.

“The Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs, Ksenia Yakushenko, and Georgy Vershina were present at the talks on behalf of the BNTU. The main topic of discussion was joint scientific and research work in the fields of laser technologies and 3D printing. In addition, representatives of the Iranian university expressed a desire to organise a personnel exchange to gain valuable experience,” the university added.

Malek Ashtar University of Technology is a state educational and research institution of engineering sciences. It is located in the Iranian city of Isfahan. The university started its activities in 1986. It includes more than twenty schools, colleges, and institutes. The main fields of study are aerospace engineering, applied sciences, electrical engineering, management and industrial engineering, marine sciences, materials and manufacturing technologies, communication and security technologies.
