BelNPP visited by WANO Moscow Centre experts

Experts from the Moscow Centre of the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO MC) are conducting a combined preliminary visit of the first operational peer review of the Belarusian nuclear power plant (BelNPP) in the period up to May 31st, observing the work of the personnel of the block control panels on a full-scale simulator of the training centre, sb.by reports with reference to the Energy Ministry’s website

As part of the events, staff will be trained in the methodology and practical approaches of conducting CPO (Crew Performance Observation), enabling to assess the knowledge and skills of operational personnel on actions in complex simulated scenarios under the conditions of normal operation, violations of normal operation and in emergency situations.

The experts will also check the implementation of SOER recommendations (significant operating experience report) at the BelNPP and collect preliminary information before the start of the peer review.
