Lukashenko considers it necessary to soon complete the work on recognition of digital signatures in EAEU

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko considers it necessary to complete the work on the recognition of an electronic digital signature in the EAEU in the near future. He said that in Moscow during today’s meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.

“We need to focus on the early recognition of an electronic digital signature. We have been talking about this for years. All the fundamental agreements were reached long ago, but there has been no progress in this matter. Actually, this is not a political issue, but a technical one, but it often becomes an insurmountable barrier to the participation of Eurasian businesses in the economic processes of the EAEU countries. I consider it necessary to complete this work as soon as possible," Aleksandr Lukashenko said.

The Belarusian leader also stated that it is necessary to digitalise technical regulation, “I am sure that no one in this hall needs to be convinced that the digitalisation of technical regulation will provide our industry with additional opportunities for development, simplify the receipt of information and certification and standardisation processes.”
