Bilateral meeting between Lukashenko and Putin on Victory Day eve lasted until three o'clock in the morning

The presidents of Belarus and Russia, Aleksandr Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin, held a bilateral meeting on the eve of Victory Day, and it lasted until three o'clock in the morning – as the heads of state told reporters after today’s parade on Red Square in Moscow

“We worked together for a long time yesterday, and we parted quite late," the Russian President said.

“That was at three o’clock in the morning, as always,” Aleksandr Lukashenko clarified with a smile.

“True, that was three o'clock,” Vladimir Putin confirmed. “During the discussion of our bilateral relations, we also talked about what is happening on the line of contact, about the situation related to the difficult events developing around Ukraine. We also talked with the Defence Minister and the Chief of the General Staff. We had a full-fledged meeting with them.”

Vladimir Putin also told Aleksandr Lukashenko about the details of his recent meetings with distinguished servicemen and unit commanders, “We talked about our guys, those who are on the front line. We noted their heroism, courage, bravery and the results of combat work.”
