Belarusian polar explorers completed cargo delivery to Antarctic station
Belarusian polar explorers have completed the delivery of goods to the Antarctic station – as noted by Aleksei Gaidashov, who heads the 16th Belarusian Antarctic Expedition, sb.by reports with reference to Belarus’ National Academy of Sciences (NAS)
An air operation for the delivery and evacuation of cargo of the Belarusian Antarctic Expedition was successfully carried out from the board of the Akademik Treshnikov research expedition vessel.
It is reported that the cargo of the Belarusian Antarctic Expedition was delivered to the Vechernyaya Gora field base and on board the research vessel in full, without losses and damage. During the cargo operation, the expedition staff demonstrated high professionalism and well-coordinated teamwork.
According to Belarus’ NAS, the personnel is healthy. The evacuation of the 16th Belarusian Antarctic Expedition members aboard the Akademik Treshnikov research expedition vessel was conducted on May 8th.
