Nuland: West should deploy longer-range guns in Ukraine

Former US Deputy Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland said that the West needs to implement ‘many initiatives’ in Ukraine, including the deployment of longer-range guns on the territory of the country, Politico reports

Victoria Nuland noted that the allies should ‘accelerate the implementation of many initiatives’. According to her, the West should create armed forces ‘of the future with a high degree of deterrence, for example, deploy longer-range weapons’.

At the same time, Ms. Nuland added that it is extremely important for Western countries that critical infrastructure and the energy sector are protected.
