Abdel Fattah al-Sisi noted that while Egypt is making serious efforts to ‘save the Middle East region from falling into the abyss’, there is no real political will on the part of the ‘international community to put an end to this conflict and solve the Palestinian problem on the basis of the two-state principle’.

At the same time, he added that Israel ‘continues to evade its obligations’ and ‘conducts a military operation in Rafah, while trying to use the Rafah checkpoint to tighten the blockade of the Gaza Strip’.

The Egyptian leader also recalled that the country is categorically opposed to the conflict and urged the world community to put an end to the devastating war.
