US military-industrial complex can profit from Israeli-Palestinian conflict through supply of weapons
The US military-industrial complex can benefit from the conflict between Israel and Palestine through the supply of weapons, TASS reports with reference to China’s Global Times publication
According to the source, the US military-industrial complex has a chance to use the conflict and profit from violence. "Whenever there is a military conflict or even just regional tension in any part of the world, the United States can always find a way to turn it into a great opportunity for American arms dealers to get rich," the publication reads.
The Global Times drew attention to the growth in the value of shares of American arms manufacturers, Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman. These securities have risen significantly in price after the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict: by 8 and 11 percent, respectively.
It is also noted that, in any conflict, the US always reacts by escalating violence, rather than promoting peace. "The United States is one of the few who can use the conflict to make disgusting profits," the editorial adds.
