Mezentsev convinced many Russian governors to visit Kupala Night Festival in Alexandria
In a conversation with journalists during a presentation of the Mogilev Region potential at VDNKh (All-Russian Exhibition Centre) in Moscow, State Secretary of the Union State Dmitry Mezentsev announced the visit of heads of Russian regions to the Kupala Night Festival (Alexandria Gathers Friends) in the Mogilev Region
Dmitry Mezentsev underlined the special significance of this year, which celebrates the 25th anniversary of signing the Treaty on the Creation of the Union State and the 80th anniversary of Belarus’ liberation from the Nazi invaders.
“We’re convinced that many governors, many heads of Russian constituent entities will honour the invitation to be guests in Alexandria – the homeland of President Aleksandr Lukashenko. Of course, this is not only visits of governors and delegations; this is a presentation of folk crafts, a special spirit, a special atmosphere,” Dmitry Mezentsev asserted.
In 2023, about 80,000 people visited the holiday in the Shklov District of the Mogilev Region. The event was attended by heads of Russian regions, delegations at the leadership level of the legislative assembly and other government bodies of Russia. The rich palette of folk arts was also presented by masters from Russia: over 80 craftsmen from 20 Russian regions, including the most remote ones.
