The document stipulates regulations aimed at improving the efficiency, quality and accessibility of education, expanding state protection for students, young professionals and socially vulnerable categories of children and youth, as well as strengthening the responsibility of subjects of educational relations.

In particular, the Government is empowered to redistribute and redirect young professionals to work, provide them with additional social guarantees, and local authorities are authorised to organise free transportation of students residing in their localities to places of educational, sports, cultural and other events.

Schools located in urban-type and rural settlements are provided with the opportunity to train drivers of motor vehicles and self-propelled vehicles.

The list of children who have a preferential right to admission to sanatorium boarding schools has been supplemented with the category of ‘disabled children’ under 18 years of age in order to provide them with social support.

The right to receive a grant to prepare for admission to Belarusian educational institutions has been given to foreigners.

The teaching staff now includes foster parents in order to make their status higher.

Schoolchildren are to choose the business style in their clothing.

The law also provides for other norms that adjust the state policy in the field of education, taking into account the trends in the development of the modern educational space and the practice of applying the current code.
