Lukashenko noted significant potential for development of co-operation between Belarus and Myanmar

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated the Prime Minister of Myanmar, Chairman of the State Administrative Council of Myanmar Min Aung Hlaing, on the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service

"Over the past years, we have laid a solid foundation for deepening mutually beneficial interstate relations in a wide variety of industries," the congratulatory message reads. "I am sure that through purposeful joint efforts we will be able to effectively realise the inexhaustible potential of our co-operation for the benefit of the citizens of Belarus and Myanmar."

The Head of State noted that he would be glad to welcome Min Aung Hlaing to the hospitable Belarusian land in the near future to discuss issues on the bilateral agenda and determine plans for the future.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Min Aung Hlaing good health, happiness and success, also wishing peace and prosperity to the people of Myanmar.

In turn, in his congratulatory message to the President of Belarus, the Prime Minister and Chairman of the State Administrative Council of Myanmar noted that, over the past quarter century, friendship based on common interests and mutual respect has been born between the countries.

"In recent years, co-operation between our states in various fields, in particular in defence, diplomacy and education, has contributed to strengthening ties between the peoples of the two countries," the message of congratulations reads. Min Aung Hlaing hopes that Belarus and Myanmar will be able to improve co-ordination and develop co-operation in bilateral, regional and multilateral formats in the future to meet the interests of both countries and their peoples.
