Lukashenko: modern warfare is war of drones

President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has arrived in the Brest Region on a working trip today

After coming to the 230th Obuz-Lesnovsky Combined Arms Training Range, the Head of State was informed on the development of unmanned aviation until 2030, taking into account the experience of modern armed conflicts. The Commander-in-Chief was also reported on the prospects for the development of electronic warfare to counter unmanned aircraft. Aleksandr Lukashenko got acquainted with samples of weapons, military and special equipment, including unmanned aircraft, developed by Belarus’ defence sector.

Inspecting the military equipment and weapons, the Head of State noted, “Modern warfare is a war of drones, and no war is possible without unmanned aircraft. We have already calculated that it is five times more expensive to train and equip a soldier than to make a drone. Therefore, there could be no victory without drones.”

Episodes of the combat use of weapons and military equipment are also planned to be demonstrated to the Commander-in-Chief, who warned those present, “Everything should look natural, like in a battle. There should be no show-off, I do not need it!”
