President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated John Dramani Mahama on his election as President of Ghana, sb.by reports with reference to the Belarusian leader’s press service
"The results of the vote indicate the high confidence of the people in you and the National Democratic Congress party. I am convinced that your work as Head of State will contribute to its prosperity and improve the well-being of citizens, as well as strengthen Ghana's position in the international arena," the congratulatory message reads.
The Head of State confirmed his interest in developing long-term strong ties between the two countries for the benefit of their peoples, and also highlighted the significant potential of co-operation between Belarus and Ghana in agriculture and food security, industry, healthcare, science, and education.
The President of Belarus expressed hope for further strengthening of traditionally friendly bilateral relations and invited the President of Ghana to pay an official visit to Minsk at any convenient time.
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished John Dramani Mahama good health, happiness and success in responsible government activities.
