Karanik: nuclear power plant is Belarus’ source of pride
The Belarusian nuclear power plant is a unique facility that not only the Grodno Region, but the whole of Belarus is proud of – as stated by the Chairman of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee, Vladimir Karanik, while presenting the new Director General, Sergei Bobovich, to the staff of the nuclear power plant, the Energy Ministry reports in its Telegram channel

"A great job has been done. The Belarusian NPP is a unique facility that not only the Grodno Region, but also the whole Republic of Belarus is proud of," Mr. Karanik stressed.
A highly qualified team has been formed at the station. "This is a team of like-minded persons. When communicating with them, I see people with burning eyes full of enthusiasm, and this means that the station will continue to develop," the Chairman of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee added.
Mr. Karanik noted that the BelNPP project laid foundations for the region’s further development: construction of modern enterprises and development of new areas of investment activity. "Investors are addressing us with proposals that we had not previously thought about, since these are very energy-intensive industries and projects. I hope this period of familiarisation and preliminary negotiations will very soon turn into a practical stage. Initially, many people looked closely at how the new facility would work. Meanwhile, at present, neither investors nor the real sector of the economy have any doubts about the reliability, stability and prospects of the Belarusian NPP operation,” Mr. Karanik stressed.
On his behalf, as well as on behalf of Energy Minister Viktor Karankevich, many kind words were told to Mikhail Filimonov, who previously headed the nuclear power plant. Mr. Karankevich thanked him for many years of hard work and significant personal contribution to the development of nuclear energy in Belarus.
