International Exhibition Centre will open in Minsk in mid-2025
The International Exhibition Centre will open in Minsk in mid-2025 – as informed by Yelena Likhimovich, the Deputy Director for Tourism Activities at BelExpo, during the Business Tourism. Tasks and Prospects of MICE Industry in Belarus and Russia round table discussion held as part of the 2nd Russian-Belarusian Tourism Congress
“There are not enough exhibition venues in the country to host full-fledged business events with a large number of participants, but we will have such a platform soon: the Minsk International Exhibition Centre will open in mid-2025. The indoor exhibition halls alone will occupy 15 thousand square metres. There will be also five conference rooms able to accommodate up to 2,000 people at a time. In addition, there will be smaller halls for 200-300 people. Interestingly, one of the large halls will have equipment with a telescopic effect, and this will be a good help for Minsk to become a full-fledged centre for MICE tourism. This way we will become more attractive to potential partners from abroad, including from Russia, and will be able to host more meetings,” Ms. Likhimovich said.
She recalled that BelExpo, the largest exhibition operator in Belarus, has been developing tourism activities since February. It was also among the initiators of the National Congress Bureau, which – as noted by Ms. Likhimovich – will be created in the near future.
