Communications Ministry to begin practical implementation of 5G rollout project in Belarus

The Ministry of Communications and Informatisation will soon begin the practical implementation of the 5G rollout project in Belarus – as noted by Minister of Communications and Informatisation Konstantin Shulgan at a meeting with journalists, sb.by reports

“We are currently completing the development of 3G technology. We are actively involved in the development of 4G and plan to introduce 5G. The regulatory documents that will define this path are already prepared. I think, we will soon start practical implementation,” the official said.

The timeframe and conditions will be defined in regulatory legal acts that have not yet been signed.

“The development of 5G technology will follow the path of the infrastructure operator, which is Belarusian Cloud Technologies. Joint work is underway with telecommunication operators in this direction,” Mr. Shulgan added.
