Belarus, Russia holding joint tactical flight exercises

From May 27th to May 31st, joint tactical flight exercises are being conducted by the forces and means of the Air Force and Air Defence Forces of the Armed Forces of Belarus and the Russian Aerospace Forces under the leadership of the Commander of the Air Force and Air Defence Forces as part of the improvement of the unified regional air defence system of Belarus and Russia and in the interests of increasing interaction and training of management bodies and flight personnel, sb.by reports with reference to Belarus’ Defence Ministry

Aviation military units, units of anti-aircraft missile and radio engineering troops of the Armed Forces of Belarus, crews of reconnaissance, fighter and army aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces are involved in the exercises.

The issues of management of all-arms aviation forces, as well as organisation of interaction in the performance of combat training tasks, will be practiced.

"The main efforts during the tactical flight exercises will be aimed at solving the tasks of covering state and military facilities from air attacks. In addition, crews will have to practically work out a number of issues in the interests of covering ground forces at aviation training grounds,” the source adds.
