Belarus’ economic potential presented to Turkish business
The Belarusian-Turkish business forum has been held in Istanbul, organised by the National Marketing Centre together with Turkiye’s ASRIAD Association, the centre’s press centre reports
During the event, the Turkish businesses were presented with Belarus’ economic potential, electronic exchange trade tools and preferential conditions for investing in our country’s free economic zones.
The forum brought together more than 50 business representatives aimed at intensifying bilateral business contacts.
During his speech, Deputy Director of the National Marketing Centre Yevgeny Rusak noted that the interaction between the centre and the partner structure ASRIAD has a systematic character and this is the second joint event in the current year, which indicates the mutual interest of business in co-operation. The centre’s readiness to assist Turkish business in entering the Belarusian market was highlighted.
Mr. Rusak shared the results of a study of the two countries’ export potential conducted by the National Marketing Centre, according to which bilateral trade has the potential for significant growth due to increased co-operation in mechanical engineering, woodworking, chemical and metallurgical industries, as well as in the food sector.
A number of bilateral documents were signed on the sidelines of the forum, creating favourable conditions for scaling up Turkish investments in the Belarusian economy.
